Practicalities
Practice Hours
Practice hours are from Monday to Thursday. Evening appointments are also offered on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Initial Consultation
During our first meeting I will be asking some questions to gain a fuller understanding of what is troubling you and what you would like to gain from sessions. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have about the process of therapy. Most often it is helpful to have a minimum of two consultative sessions before making a decision to commence. If we decide to go ahead and make a start, then that decision will be taken together.
If a decision is taken to continue after the consultation phase, I would then further discuss with you my administrative framework which would form the basis of our work together. A copy of this would be made available to you, together with my Privacy Policy for your agreement and signature.
Frequency of Sessions
If our agreement is to continue, we would arrange future sessions to take place on the same day at the same time each week. The establishment of regular sessions is important in order to facilitate, and give momentum to the therapeutic process. Most people find that weekly contact provides a sense of security and continuity whilst they are working on their emotional difficulties.
Fee
My fee is £75 per session. Duration of session: 50 minutes. A similar fee applies to the initial consultation phase.
All sessions are required to be pre-paid by online bank transfer. More details are provided at the time of arranging an initial consultation.
Cancellations and Missed Sessions
Psychotherapy sessions require a regular time commitment and thus payment is due for missed appointments or cancelled by you with less than 7 days' notice. This arrangement enables me to maintain a regular appointment time for the duration of the therapy.
